From an open block to a home designed around its owners, this recently completed custom home in Crib Point is a great example of how considered planning and personal selections come together.
The single-storey residence provides four bedrooms, open-plan kitchen, meals and living areas, a walk-in pantry, alfresco, bathroom, ensuite and double garage. At approximately 225.7 square metres, or 24.3 squares under roof, the layout balances comfortable family living with practical everyday spaces.
The exterior combines clean contemporary lines with character-filled feature brickwork and contrasting cladding. Inside, warm timber-look cabinetry, soft neutral finishes and natural light give the home a relaxed and welcoming feel.
Client-selected comfort and lighting upgrades
Several of the clients’ selections were designed to enhance both comfort and atmosphere.
Under-tile heating was added to the bathroom and ensuite, providing warmth underfoot during the cooler Victorian months. LED feature lighting was incorporated into the tiled shower niches, highlighting the herringbone feature tiles and creating softer bathroom lighting.
Additional LED lighting beneath the floating cabinetry gives the bathroom another practical lighting option while accentuating the wall-mounted design.
The wet areas also feature a freestanding bath, tiled shower bases, wall-mounted tapware and a generously sized ensuite shower. Together, these selections create rooms that feel calm and refined without sacrificing everyday function.
The kitchen continues the home’s warm, neutral palette with timber-look overhead cabinetry, light lower cabinetry and a contrasting black dishwasher. The adjoining laundry includes custom cabinetry, a stone benchtop and direct external access.
